W. Bush to regulate text messages, robocalls, and telemarketing calls to protect consumers\u2019 privacy. Consumers can file a complaint to FCC (Federal Communications Commission) if the TCPA act has been violated.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What is CITA?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>CITA \u2013 California\u2019s Identity Theft Act is an act against people using another individual\u2019s identity information for unlawful purposes without informing the individual.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Why did TCPA come into existence?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>For the purpose of recipients\u2019 consent.<\/li>\n<li>To prevent the access of telemarketers sending excessive advertising texts and voice calls without permission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Also read: <a href=\"https:\/\/leadsrain.com\/blog\/wtf-traced-act-is\/\">WTF is TRACED Act??<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Why did CITA come into existence?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To protect an individual\u2019s personal identity information<\/li>\n<li>To protect an individual from fraud<\/li>\n<li>To stop the identity theft crime<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>What TCPA looks after?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>TCPA prevents unsolicited calls and texts from telemarketers and wireless providers. If any firm breaks the law, they are required to pay the penalty. Any consumer can also sue the organization for not taking consent. You can send messages to only opt-in consumers. You are required to exclude the contacts who have opted out.
